My Communication Device Lost Its Charge!
The other day my cell phone showed about 35% charge, but unexpectedly the screen went dark. I grabbed the nearest wall charger and plugged it in. When I was ready to leave work, I unplugged it and pushed the home button.
Problem was…. nothing, absolutely nothing, happened! As Grandma would say, “Well, Fifflesticks.”
“No problem,” I think, as I get into the car. I reach for the car charger and plug my cell phone in again. I expect to hear the ever-familiar ping of chimes as the charging initiates; but wait, no ping happens!
Arriving home, I find the original charger and plug it directly into the wall outlet before chaining my cell phone to the connector end of the original charger. TA-DA! The ping of chimes and the lightning bolt appear!
That evening as I unplug the phone to use it, I realize how important the original charging system is!
Cell phones are an important part of our daily communications, and we rely on our phones to be ready and charged! We cannot use this means of communication if it does not work. In the same way, our communication with God depends on being charged with the original charger! We can keep that current flowing by knowing and reading the Bible as well as praying continuously. Let’s stay connected to the original Charger!
